Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

All of our high quality silks have been treated with soda ash prior to dyeing, which bonds the dye permanently to the fabric. This means you'll receive a beautiful scarf that you can wear for years and years without worrying about fading.

Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent such as baby shampoo. Add several tablespoons of white vinegar to first rinse to revive shine, then rinse again thoroughly in plain water. Never wring out your silk- instead, lay it out on a clean white towel, roll up, and gently press out excess moisture. Line dry habotai silk, and lay silk satin flat to dry. Iron on silk setting while slightly damp. Expect light bleeding in the first several washes.
